Jessie Lopez maintains a practice in real estate law. Prior to completing his legal education, Mr. Lopez worked for economic development agencies in San Antonio and New York City. Mr. Lopez served as project manager at the New York City Economic Development Corporation. He negotiated the sale or lease of city-owned industrial and commercial property and addressed a variety of development issues including property appraisal, public project approval, zoning and project financing. Mr. Lopez administered facility maintenance programs for industrial and commercial properties including rail yards, maritime facilities and wholesale/retail food markets. His management portfolio is valued in excess of $1 billion.
Before joining the firm, Mr. Lopez also served as a project manager for the Greater Kelly Development Authority (now known as Port Authority of San Antonio); the agency established by the City of San Antonio for the redevelopment of the Kelly AFB. Mr. Lopez managed the negotiations for the $108 million purchase of the property from the US government and successfully led lease negotiations with Fortune 100 corporations, including Boeing, Lockheed Martin, General Electric and United Technologies – Pratt & Whitney.
