Assistant Attorney General, Transportation division (January 2004 – May 2023)

Ms. Nassour joined the Firm after spending the last 19 years representing the Texas Department of Transportation (TXDOT) while serving as an Assistant Attorney General in the State of Texas. She specializes in eminent domain litigation and successfully represented TxDOT in numerous litigations involving eminent domain and inverse condemnation cases in both County and District Courts as well as in Special Commissioners’ Hearings and in the Courts of Appeal.

As part of her representation for TxDOT, Ms. Nassour prepared and handled lawsuits involving, but not limited to, eminent domain, inverse condemnation, contract claims, regulatory motor carrier and highway beautification / billboard regulatory cases in County Court, District Court, Courts of Appeal, State Office of Administrative Hearings, and at Special Commissioners Hearings. She provided legal advice and assistance to the Texas Department of Transportation with regard to the above actions, and potential actions; conducted investigations, performed research and drafted petitions, motions, pleadings, orders, briefs, memoranda and other legal documents. She analyzed complex factual and legal issues and developed evidence through witness interviews, depositions and other discovery. She mediated cases and analyzed settlement proposals, as well as prepared cases for trial and performed all duties of lead counsel at trial.

Ms. Nassour is fluent in Arabic, French, and English written and spoken.
